BTX operates primarily as an information exchange to enable boat and yacht owners to post jobs and for boat transport providers to quote for jobs.

We endeavour to ensure that BTX Online is available 24 hours a day, but shall not be liable if the Web site is not available at any time or for any period. Access to the Site may be suspended temporarily and without notice in the case of a system failure, maintenance, modification or repair or for any reasons beyond our control.

BTX undertakes to ensure the accuracy and completeness of the material on the Web site and may make changes to the material on the site at any time and without notice.

We may provide links from this Site to Web sites useful to mariners and boat owners that are owned and/or controlled by third parties. These links are provided only for the convenience of visitors to the Boat Information Exchange Web site and users should note that BTX have no control over and will accept no liability in respect of those external Web sites.

Any personal information provided by users that we process will be securely handled in accordance with our privacy policy.

You agree to use this Site in good faith and are prohibited from using, uploading or transmitting to or from the Site any material:

- that is threatening, defamatory, obscene, indecent, offensive, pornographic, abusive, liable to incite racial hatred, discriminatory, menacing, scandalous, inflammatory, blasphemous, in breach of confidence, in breach of privacy or which may cause annoyance or inconvenience;

The Boat Transport Exchange Web site, its design and construction, any materials on it and other intellectual property are owned wholly and exclusively by BTX.

BTX is a free service. Unless otherwise agreed all costs and fees which occur in connection with arranged boat transport are payable directly to the haulier and are to be borne by the customer.

Advisory General Conditions

Boat owners should ensure that:

1. Fuel, water and waste tanks are empty if possible
2. Hazardous materials including flares are removed
3. Canvas canopies are removed and safely stored
4. Keys for the vessel should be made available to the boat transport driver
5. Applicaple documents should be given to the driver if the craft is going abroad
