Owner's son says: "She was left to me by my late father. Due to current personal circumstances I can't complete the work.

"My father, an engineer, bought her in 2014 intending to sail her after replacing the engine. On further inspection, he found the keel bolts were not satisfactory and some of the ribs on the hull needed repairing, so she was dismantled. Work was undertaken at the stem and on the hull. Many ribs were added, repaired and bolstered. The drop keel, its housing and its cast iron ballast keel were removed to allow new bolts to be fitted.

"With the structural work on the hull completed, work to rebuild the internal keel box was about to start.

"Really all she requires is new keel bolts, keel box, caulking below waterline, reassembling, painting and varnishing. In terms of restoration of the hull, most of the hard work has already been done.

"I have most of what came off the boat when she was dismantled, including all the internal timbers and panelling. There's a full set of sails, soft furnishings, a wood burning stove, an anchor and rigging.

"I still have the engine that was removed. I'm not sure of its condition, or what specifically was wrong with it, but I know the intention was to replace it. I'm also in possession of the original building plans."
